Founder
Dr Esien Ukorebi is the founder and CEO of Impact in Leadership, established in 2015 to empower the next generation of African leaders. A practising medical doctor and leadership mentor, he combines medical expertise with a passion for personal development. Author of Leadership Impact, Dr Ukorebi leads conferences and initiatives that inspire young leaders globally.

Co-Founder
Mrs Tosin Ukorebi is a social worker and mentor with a strong dedication to youth development. As Co-Founder of Impact in Leadership, she designs transformative programs rooted in empathy and experience. Her mentorship has positively shaped countless lives, making her a vital influence within the organisation and beyond.

Elizabeth Ndukwu is the COO of Impact in Leadership, bringing a rich background in NGO operations and social impact. She leads the implementation of programs that develop young leaders, blending strategic insight with a passion for youth empowerment.

MY IMPACT STORY
It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since I stood among the winners of the maiden edition of the Impact in Leadership Essay Competition. The theme that year — “The Future of Nigeria: My Dream” — lit a fire in my young heart. As an enthusiastic SS1 student, I entered the competition fueled by belief: belief in the promise of Nigeria, and in the role I could play in shaping that promise.
That day, the speakers’ words stirred something profound within me — a quiet conviction to dream big and do more. Winning that competition wasn’t just a moment of glory; it was a seed that has continued to bear fruit in my journey ever since.
Fast-forward a decade, and I’m now two weeks away from becoming a Final Year Medical Student at the University of Calabar. Along this journey, I’ve been privileged to be recognized as a scholar of three prestigious Nigerian scholarships — the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship, TotalEnergies Scholarship, and the Federal Scholarship Board Award. Each recognition has been a reminder that grace, consistency, and self-discipline truly open doors.
Beyond medicine, my entrepreneurial spirit has found expression through Westnek — a brand I founded that has grown into Westnek Finance and Investment Company, investing in small business ventures, and Westnek Perfumes, now one of Calabar’s fastest-growing perfume brands. Though I paused the finance arm to refocus and strategize, the vision remains very much alive — stronger, clearer, and more ambitious.
